Friday August 31st 2:30pm
We picked up David W our newest Kleeneze team member and set off for the BIG weekend in Birmingham.  I LOVE Kleeneze Showcase Meetings and gala Dinners  but i was particularly excited about this one two full tables booked for the Gala Dinner...... it was going to be one HUGE celebration.

The run up in the car was smooth despite all the road works (and me driving.)  We arrived at our destination just in time to catch  Jill & Dave and Ced & Lea strolling back from the town laden with goodies from the food market.
Once we’d all recovered from carrying my mountain of luggage upstairs (yes, that many pairs of shoes is necessary) we went for a stroll to the local pub The Figure Of Eight, where we met up with Sheelagh and Paul, Jill and Simon and Sue T. There was such a buzz in the air, Kleeneze get-togethers like this really are great, you get to meet up with like minded, entrepreneurial people, have loads of fun whilst chatting about our future goals and aspirations.

8:30 our table was booked for the famous Jimmy Spice’s Restaurant. Cuisine from around the world - a great place to go when there’s lots of you meeting up together.  Mark, Emma, Simon & Tammy met us all there - the group was expanding every hour; more and more people arriving from all over the country for the BIGGEST Kleeneze Event of the year.  The restaurant was heaving with other Kleeneze teams enjoying themselves on their night out.  (you can always tell who they are, they have the loudest laughs, biggest smiles and are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet)  I love taking advantage of the friday night it's a great night to eat, drink and network.

After a few late night drinks at the local pub it was off to bed ready for an early start.

I was rudely awoken by a doorbell ringing in my ear.... I jumped out of bed, startled and confused. Where's the front door?   I shouted.... realising, I was in my hotel room, I went over to my phone which I had laid on my pillow the night before......a text message, (I knew i’d regret putting a doorbell as the text notification on the phone)  Text message from Jill mason... "Are you awake?"  .... I just had to reply.......... "No"  This was my early morning alarm call from Jill, I can't possibly remark on her next text message as it's been censored! ;)

9:10am  Jill and I were meeting to walk over to the ICC to get in the queue ready to save the G-Force Teams seating at the Showcase.  Sitting together at events like this is really important to us, shows team unity and we get to catch up with everyone in the break as most people are spread out around the country.

Seats saved for team and guests, our job was done, Jill and I escaped to grab a quick coffee before everyone started to pile in.  The room started to fill up, WOW, this was some packed conference, Chris Hinds (Marketing for Kleeneze) came round and said every seat had been booked, it was gonna be one jam packed day!!! Best of all, he said over 300 guests had booked tickets...WOWza, thats exactly what we wanted.

The day started off with a video introduction from Kleeneze HQ, it was the funniest introduction I’d ever seen at a Kleeneze Showcase. The people in the room roared with laughter throughout.  10 GREAT reveals, AWESOME NEWS, all helping us to build our businesses bigger.  Training and testimonial were moving, motivating and inspiring. My particular favourite this time was Jenny Amos, she has such a happy, positive nature and best of all full of giggles, you can’t help but laugh along with her.

Richard & Clare Chantler £25,000 award

What company gives you £25,000 for building your own income? KLEENEZE does!!! Richard and Clare Chantler fellow Kleeneze distributors had the ‘dilemma’ do they choose the BMW car or £25,000 cash!   It was their INCREDIBLE reward for the hard work they put into building their business.  Clare made the decision ;) .....the CASH. It had to be really, Richard said many months ago he wanted to be the FIRST KLEENEZE distributor to pick up that award...HE DID!!!!

Dubai and the Maldives, just one of Kleenezes yearly incentives for distributors who have new business growth.  This Showcase was different, they offered the network a retail opportunity to have their names put into a draw. (the more retail, the more tickets)  We all waited with baited breath...who’s name, who is it going to be?  Tracey Payne and Harvey Kent name was drawn out by Michael Khatkar , it’s wonderful to see the reward go to such a deserving couple, they have worked so hard to build their business.

Hyatt Hotel & ZipGate
What a day....what an incredible day, but it didn’t end there we still have to rush off and get our glad rags on and attend the evenings Gala Dinner.  Staying at the Hyatt was a special treat, the ICC links to the Hyatt with a walkway so you do not have to go outside to get to the evenings venue. (great if you wear heels or it’s raining)
Few drinks in the bar with Andy and Jane, then up to the room to get ready. I love staying in the Hyatt, large airy room, air conditioning, music in the bathroom......BUT David doesn’t, he reckons something happens to me when I enter a hotel....all my OCD tidiness goes out of the window, the room looks like someone has ransacked it!!!! Seriously, no joke even im perplexed... why do i do it?  What changes me?  Why do i feel the need to leave a trail of clothes, make up and coffee cups????  It’s a mystery.

Time was ticking, make up on, hair done...now to put the dress on just before going downstairs to meet up with the team.  Zip me up please David...............Oh eM Gee........ This can’t be happening!!!! It fitted yesterday  ARRRHHHHH NOOOOOO.  Every woman’s nightmare .....and for the first time ever - I ONLY brought one dress! (yes it’s true)

Fifteen minutes passed, nothing, absolutely nothing would make this dress zip up correctly. I’d tried every position to get this zip done up, l laid on the floor, hung myself from the doorway, sprawled across the bed .... this was SERIOUS.  David said not to worry he’d fashion me a toga from the bed sheet........ I think he learned very quickly I wasn’t impressed by his amused grin and humour at such a critical time.

He suggested we get help!!!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!!!  The only one we knew staying in the hotel was David W our newest team member, could you imagine it – two men struggling to get me into a dress  Could I seriously live that down!  NO...( but the dress... DID fit me the day before)

ZipGate
I had an idea, Jane was due to meet us, I’ll call Andy and see if Jane could help me out.  At last a knock at the door, Jane to the rescue... I had one at the top, one at the bottom trying to hold the dress together, I’d even put on SUPERMAN pants (ladies you’ll know what they are) just to see if that made me 2 INCHES smaller.... nothing worked.
Exasperated, I put my hands down in sheer exhaustion, perspiration pouring from my body and with a faint.... defeated voice.... I said (movie style) ...... ”go without me”

Hey presto, as if by MAGIC, the dress slipped into position, the waist band put back where it should have been all along and not round the rib cage...I was zipped up!!!!!   It fitted   ‘ TEAMWORK  - Now off to the gala dinner for a night of fun and shenanigans.

Breakfast...Lunch.....Dinner... Oh no!!! I knew I’d forgotten something ....as I took another gulp of wine and felt it go straight to my head.
Never mind, we’ll be eating soon...nearly 2hrs later our starter arrived. This was scrumptious, pulled duck pate YUMMY.   Wine flowed freely around the table and the fun and laughter began.

What an awesome bunch of people we have in the team, we laughed soooo much – tears flowed down our faces as we found more and more things amusing.
We all loved the band,  music from our past.  Music you can’t help yourself dancing your way to the dance floor to - gyrating your hips every step you take (moves that would just simply embarrass your kids)

We networked......we partied ..........and we laughed the night away.

Finally the Gala dinner evening came to an end and we all strolled over to the Hyatt for a night cap (or three) exhausted from the nights shenanigans we stumbled up to bed around 4am –

What a day, what a night, what an AWESOME weekend. :)
